Douglas Shire Council is seeking to employ a Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic direction, leadership and commitment in the provision of Local Government Services to the Council and the community.

You will have a proven track record within an executive management role responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring corporate and operational plans, financial management, governance and community sustainability, ideally within Local Government. You will be an open and transparent leader with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and provide clear direction that supports the vision of the Council. You will possess strong communication skills with experience in developing productive and strategic relationships with key stakeholders.

The position is being offered under a 3-year performance-based contract, with an attractive remuneration package to be negotiated with the successful applicant, including 12% superannuation, 5 weeks leave, vehicle for private use and relocation assistance.
