A CEO Opportunity Like No Other
Drive the Vision. Guide Growth. Define What’s Next.
Victor Harbor is entering the most significant period of growth and change in its history. As one of the State's designated growth areas, our population is projected to more than double over the coming decades, bringing thousands of new homes, major new infrastructure and a new generation of residents to one of the most sought-after parts of the Fleurieu Peninsula. With that growth comes a rare opportunity to shape how a region develops for generations to come.
We are looking for a Chief Executive Officer with the leadership to guide sustainable growth, and the vision to build an agile, responsive organisation that can meet the challenges and seize the opportunities ahead, for both Victor Harbor and the wider Fleurieu region.
The successful candidate will lead the organisation and its people to deliver on an ambitious agenda. Your focus will include:
- Guiding sustainable growth and managing change across a fast-developing city
- Delivering the major projects and infrastructure that will serve the community for decades
- Building an agile, future-ready organisation with the capability and culture to adapt as needs change
- Strengthening regional collaboration across the Fleurieu and with State and Federal Government
- Maintaining the financial sustainability that underpins long-term success.
The successful candidate will be a credible and accomplished leader who can set direction, bring people with you, and deliver. You will combine strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen, and have the ability to lead and inspire high-performing, adaptable teams. You are comfortable leading through change, navigating governance frameworks and identifying opportunities for innovation and regional growth. You build strong relationships across government and community, and you are genuinely motivated by the chance to make a lasting difference to a region on the rise. Relevant tertiary qualifications are essential, along with a sound understanding of Local Government governance and legislative frameworks.
The City of Victor Harbor offers a career-defining leadership role alongside an enviable coastal lifestyle. You get the community feel and relaxed pace of a coastal town with the services and growth of a city, all within easy reach of Adelaide. This is a rare chance to bring career, community and coast together. Can you feel it calling?
