Situated on the Western Highway, 375km west of Melbourne and 350km east of Adelaide, bound by two National Parks, the Little Desert in the South and Wyperfeld in the North. Hindmarsh Shire Council is a small, dynamic team offering services to a population of over 5,500 residents. Hindmarsh covers an area of 7,527km2 and includes the rural townships of Nhill, Dimboola, Rainbow, and Jeparit.

Reporting to the Mayor and Councillors, you will be given the opportunity to partner with our staff and engage our community in the delivery of essential facilities, infrastructure, and services to enhance community liveability.

Our Next CEO
Reporting to Council and tasked with leading and supporting what we regard as a very high performing and engaged team. You will be an experienced Local Government executive with an understanding of rural communities and what it takes to build sustainable relationships with key stakeholders including all levels of government. You will be an entrepreneurial individual and progressive thinker who will both initiate business enhancement opportunities and embrace change. Your track record of respecting and working in partnership with community will be critical to your success in this position.
You will bring a breadth of leadership skills and experiences that position you to lead and support staff in a measured and considered way that encourages individual and allows them to shine.
