An exciting opportunity for a dynamic community focused leader to join Council in the role of Chief Executive Officer.

Reporting to the Mayor, Elected Members and working in close collaboration with Council employees, the CEO’s key responsibilities include:

• Build on the success of the last number of years to continue to drive economic development and tourism opportunities
• Drive external funding opportunities through continued creativity
• Lead and motivate a stable productive, skilled and inclusive team
• Maintain an effective and collaborative relationship with the Mayor and Elected Members ensuring provision of accurate information to enable balanced decision making
• Ensure effective engagement, consultation, participation and commitment to the community and key stakeholders
• Ensure the smooth and efficient operations of Council, including legislative and governance requirements are met
• Ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget and provide strong and sustainable financial and asset management
• Maintain Council’s public profile and provide strong advocacy for Council and the region
