As a Reticulation Maintenance Officer, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and improving the irrigation systems that support our parks, gardens and reserves, helping ensure our public spaces remain healthy, sustainable and welcoming for all.

About the Role

  • Install, maintain and repair irrigation and reticulation systems across parks, gardens and reserves.
  • Monitor system performance, identify faults and implement effective maintenance solutions to ensure efficient water use.
  • Assist with irrigation scheduling, water budgeting and recycled water system maintenance in line with operational requirements.
  • Operate plant, equipment and tools safely while supporting the presentation and functionality of community open spaces.

Role Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in the installation, operation and maintenance of automatic reticulation systems.
  • Sound knowledge of irrigation systems, pumps, controllers, filters and water efficiency practices.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and contribute effectively within a team environment.
  • Relevant licences and certifications, including a current National Police Certificate, with additional irrigation, plant operation or traffic management qualifications highly regarded.
