The City of Mount Gambier is seeking an experienced Works Program Scheduler to lead the planning, scheduling and optimisation of capital works and maintenance programs across its infrastructure portfolio.
This role offers the opportunity to influence how projects are prioritised, delivered and reported, supporting the long-term sustainability of a thriving regional community.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager City Infrastructure, you will develop and manage works programs that support capital projects, asset renewals, maintenance activities and resource planning across Council.
Working closely with Engineering, Asset Management, Works, Finance and Procurement teams, you'll ensure projects are strategically scheduled, resources are effectively utilised, and stakeholders have access to accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain capital works and maintenance programs.
- Coordinate project timelines, budgets and resource allocation.
- Monitor project delivery and update forecasts.
- Utilise asset condition and risk data to prioritise works.
- Prepare reports, dashboards and performance metrics.
- Support asset lifecycle planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
You'll bring:
- Experience in works scheduling, project planning or infrastructure program delivery.
- Knowledge of asset management and maintenance planning.
- Strong analytical, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience using asset management, GIS or project management systems.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes. Desirable
- Qualifications in Civil Engineering, Asset Management, Project Management or a related field.
- Local Government experience.
- Experience with Power BI, GIS and advanced Excel.
- Knowledge of forecasting and long-term financial planning.
