Finance Business Partner (Team Leader)

• $111,049 per annum plus superannuation

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to step into a leadership

role or further build their existing leadership experience within a supportive Local

Government environment.

Reporting to the Coordinator Finance, you will provide trusted financial advice and

support to managers across the organisation while contributing to Council's

budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and compliance activities. You will also

lead the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Purchasing teams and play a

key role in improving financial systems, processes and service delivery.

This role offers a genuine opportunity to influence outcomes, build strong

stakeholder relationships and contribute to the delivery of quality services to our

community.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with business areas to provide quality financial advice and support.

• Supporting the efficient and effective delivery of Council's financial, accounting

and reporting functions.

• Contributing to the development of Council's annual budget, long-term financial

plan and financial forecasts.

• Leading the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Purchasing Team.

A BIT ABOUT YOU:

We are looking for a collaborative and customer-focused finance professional who

enjoys building strong relationships and working closely with stakeholders to

achieve positive outcomes.

You may already have leadership experience, or you may be ready to take the next

step in your career. Either way, you will be someone who enjoys supporting others,

solving problems and delivering practical financial solutions.

To be successful, you will bring:

• A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting or a related discipline.

• Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, compliance and financial analysis.

• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build credible

relationships across a diverse organisation.

• A customer-focused mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.• Previous leadership experience is highly regarded but not essential.

We welcome applications from candidates across public and private sector

backgrounds. Previous Local Government experience is not essential.

CA or CPA qualifications are desirable but not essential where significant in job

experience in a similar senior Finance role has been achieved.

This role may suit an experienced finance professional seeking a secondment

opportunity within Local Government.
