About the role

This role within the Infrastructure Design team is responsible for leading the design phase of key public domain and active transport infrastructure projects across our city. The role manages design-led processes that are consultative and technically rigorous, synthesising diverse requirements and ensuring best value outcomes to create inspiring and enduring infrastructure for the community.

If you are a highly organised, motivated and passionate design professional who is keen to work on varied and challenging urban public domain projects, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

In this role you will:

  • Project manage the design phase, planning, monitoring and taking action to achieve 100% design completion within agreed scope, time and budget parameters.
  • Lead the design process, ensuring research and option evaluation inform the effective development and resolution of design solutions.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure project outcomes meet internal client and asset owner expectations.

We offer a competitive remuneration package from $134,967 to $148,574 plus 12% superannuation.

About you

The successful candidate is someone who has exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships, negotiate and influence, work with initiative, and resolve problems through innovation and collaboration.

You will also bring:

  • 8+ years in design management, with a track record of successfully achieving objectives.
  • A track record of complex urban landscape or public domain projects in the public or private sectors with advanced understanding of public space form, function and performance.
  • Advanced project management processes and tools including budget and programming, monitoring and reporting, client and stakeholder management.

To be considered for this role, you must meet the essential requirements in the Position Description, including the below Qualifications/Licences:

  • Degree qualifications in landscape architecture, architecture, or a related discipline.
