Your Position:

As the Digital Experience Officer, you will serve as our advocate for digital literacy, empowering the Burwood community to become informed and confident digital citizens. Your enthusiasm for enhancing people's digital skills will drive the creation of diverse experiences tailored to meet community needs.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • The development and delivery of digital experiences and digital literacy programs and activities.
  • Promotion and communication of resources and services to an online audience via social media, eNewsletter, digital screens and library website.
  • Collaborating with the Library and Community Hub team to ensure delivery of high-quality customer experiences through outstanding customer service, information and advice regarding the Burwood Library and Community Hub services, programs, activities and events.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Certificate IV in Library & Information Services, Customer Service or a related discipline with contemporary experience in a similar role; or significant relevant working experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to providing excellence in customer service.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills including verbal, written, training and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and confidence in existing digital technologies, including social media.
  • Ability to support team members and customers in the use of new-to-them technologies.
  • Awareness of digital library resources.

Key Requirements:

  • A current Working with Children Check clearance
  • Willingness to complete a pre-employment health assessment.
  • Willingness to obtain a national police check
