Project Manager (Civil Works)
Join our Civil Works team and lead the delivery of vital civil infrastructure projects.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Civil Works to play a key role in delivering civil infrastructure projects for our community.
Reporting to the Civil Works Manager, you will manage multiple projects at the same time, overseeing everything from feasibility, design, permits and approvals through to procurement, construction, contract administration and project completion.

Position Details:
Work type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary Classification: QLGIA (Stream A) Level 6-7 ($89,155.06 – $99,667.42 + 12% Superannuation)
Location: Gayndah
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9-day fortnight
Key responsibilities
Manage multiple civil works projects from feasibility, design, approvals and procurement through to construction and completion.
Lead project delivery, including tendering, contract administration, supervision of staff and contractors, site inspections and performance monitoring.
Manage project budgets and documentation, including funding applications, tenders, progress reports and management reports.
Engage and collaborate with stakeholders, including Council, government agencies, contractors, consultants and the community.
Ensure safe, compliant and quality outcomes in accordance with legislation, standards, specifications and Council policies, while supporting a positive team culture.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
5+ years’ experience in project management, preferably within local government, with proven ability to manage multiple civil works projects and competing priorities.
Strong civil infrastructure expertise, including construction, maintenance, quality assurance, contract administration, procurement, budgeting and resource management.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead teams, contractors and stakeholders and build effective community relationships.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills, with sound knowledge of local government legislation, processes, systems and standards.
Relevant qualifications and licences, including a Civil Engineering or related tertiary qualification, White Card and unrestricted C Class driver’s licence; Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision is desirable.
