An outstanding opportunity now exists for a highly capable Manager Fleet, Civil and Waste to join the operations team and play a pivotal role in delivering essential services that support the community every day.

Reporting to the Director Operations, this strategic leadership position is responsible for overseeing fleet and workshop services, civil maintenance, waste and recycling operations, and business support functions. Leading a diverse portfolio, you will drive safe, efficient and high-performing operations, while ensuring services are responsive to community needs and aligned with Council priorities.

This role offers the opportunity to lead significant operational programs, manage complex contracts and procurement activities, while overseeing substantial budgets. You will work closely with executive leaders, elected members, government agencies, contractors and community stakeholders to deliver sustainable outcomes and continuous improvement across the organisation.

The successful candidate will be an accomplished leader with a proven track record managing large-scale operational services and multidisciplinary teams. You will bring strong commercial acumen, experience in contract and financial management, and the ability to build trusted relationships across a broad range of stakeholders. Equally important will be your commitment to fostering a positive safety culture, driving innovation and delivering exceptional customer outcomes. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline are essential, with Waste Management experience within local government highly regarded.
