About the Position

We're looking for an experienced and motivated leader to join our Development and Regulatory Services Team as Coordinator Ranger Services.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a skilled Ranger Services team while helping to maintain safe, welcoming and well-managed communities. You'll work across a diverse range of responsibilities including animal management, compliance, investigations, local law administration and community engagement.

As part of our team, you will provide leadership and support to Rangers and Kennel Keepers, oversee service delivery, manage complex compliance matters and contribute to the continuous improvement of Ranger Services. Your ability to balance legislative requirements with practical, community-focused outcomes will be key to your success in the role.

This position is responsible for:

• Leading and supporting Ranger Services staff across a broad range of operational and compliance activities.
• Managing regulatory compliance matters, investigations and customer requests.
• Overseeing animal management services including registrations, impounding and welfare activities.
• Building positive relationships with community members, government agencies and key stakeholders.
• Managing operational planning, budgets, resources and service delivery outcomes.
• Driving service improvements and supporting compliance with relevant legislation and Local Laws.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Demonstrated experience in ranger services, regulatory compliance, enforcement or a related field.
• Proven experience leading and developing operational teams.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, Local Laws and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience managing investigations, compliance matters and regulatory decision-making.
• Highly developed communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement in complex situations.
• Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services), or equivalent qualifications and experience.
• A current C Class Driver's Licence.
