THE OPPORTUNITY
The Shire of Coolgardie is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join its Executive Leadership Team as Executive Manager Infrastructure & Assets.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will lead the Shire's Infrastructure and Assets Directorate, providing strategic leadership across infrastructure planning, asset management, capital works and operational service delivery. Working closely with Council and the Executive Leadership Team, you will play a key role in ensuring the Shire's infrastructure assets are planned, maintained and delivered in a sustainable, efficient and financially responsible manner.
This is an outstanding opportunity to influence the future development of the Shire while leading a diverse portfolio that underpins community growth, service delivery and long-term organisational sustainability.
ABOUT YOU
You are an authentic and strategic leader who enjoys working collaboratively with people and building strong relationships across the organisation, Council and the wider community. You are passionate about delivering practical, sustainable infrastructure outcomes and have the ability to balance long-term planning with operational excellence.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role within infrastructure, engineering, works, asset management or a related field.
- Strong strategic planning, asset management and capital works delivery capability.
- Proven financial management experience, including budgeting, long-term planning and project delivery.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing complex projects and driving continuous improvement.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering sustainable infrastructure and high-quality community outcomes.
Experience within Local Government will be highly regarded but is not essential for candidates with transferable executive leadership experience.
REMUNERATION
The Shire of Coolgardie offers an attractive executive employment package including:
- Competitive executive salary: Cash component of $157,500 per annum
- Employer Superannuation: 12%
- Accommodation Subsidy: $22,500 per annum
- Vehicle Allowance: $20,000 per annum (or the applicable Shire rate)
- Utilities Allowance: $5,000 per annum (or the applicable Shire rate)
- Relocation assistance (where applicable)
