THE OPPORTUNITY

The Shire of Coolgardie is seeking an experienced and collaborative leader to join its Executive Leadership Team as Executive Manager Corporate Services.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will lead the Shire's Corporate Services Directorate, providing strategic oversight across finance, governance, administration, compliance and corporate planning. As a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and Council, you will play a key role in supporting sound decision-making, strengthening organisational performance and ensuring the Shire remains financially sustainable.

ABOUT YOU

You are an authentic and strategic leader who combines strong financial and commercial acumen with a collaborative leadership style. You enjoy working in partnership with the Chief Executive Officer, Council and Executive Leadership Team to deliver sound governance, responsible financial management and sustainable organisational outcomes. You are passionate about continuous improvement, lead with integrity and have the ability to influence, inspire and build high-performing teams.

You will bring:

• Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role within corporate services, finance, local government or a similarly complex organisation.
• Strong financial management, strategic planning and governance capability, with experience leading organisational performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Sound knowledge of legislative compliance, risk management, audit processes and corporate reporting frameworks.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence at both strategic and operational levels.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing significant budgets and delivering high-quality corporate services.
• A proactive, commercially minded and solutions-focused approach, with a commitment to accountability, innovation and organisational excellence.

Experience within Local Government will be highly regarded but is not essential for candidates with transferable executive leadership experience.

REMUNERATION

The Shire of Coolgardie offers an attractive executive employment package including:

• Competitive executive salary: Cash component of $157,500 per annum
• Employer Superannuation: 12%
• Accommodation Subsidy: $22,500 per annum
• Vehicle Allowance: $20,000 per annum (or the applicable Shire rate)
• Utilities Allowance: $5,000 per annum (or the applicable Shire rate)
• Relocation assistance (where applicable)
