The Shire of Laverton is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to the position of Pool Manager for the Laverton Swimming Pool.
- Remuneration package in the range of $90,000 to $120,000 pro rata;
- Furnished one-bedroom unit available at a subsidised rental rate of $45/week;
- Permanent position commencing last week of September 2026.
About the role:
The Shire of Laverton is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to the position of Swimming Pool Manager for the Laverton Swimming Pool. This is a permanent position commencing last week of September 2026.
The Pool Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing the Swimming Centre in accordance with Council policies and relevant Health Regulations to ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for all patrons.
- Overseeing the routine operation, inspection and maintenance of pool plant and equipment.
- Ensuring that the pool, buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in a clean, hygienic, and presentable condition in line with Council standards.
- Conducting regular water quality testing and making necessary plant adjustments to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
What’s on offer:
The salary will be negotiated within Level 4 of the Shire of Laverton’s Enterprise Bargaining Agreement 2017, with a remuneration package in the range of $90,000 to $120,000 pro rata (inclusive of super) and is annualised.
A furnished one-bedroom unit is available to the successful applicant at a subsidised rental rate of $45 per week with the Shire paying some of the household utilities for you. Depending on your family situation other housing may also be negotiated and this can be furnished or unfurnished depending on your situation. The Shire will also offer Super matching up to 7% as well as free gym & pool access.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre‑employment medical examination, a drug and alcohol test, a satisfactory Police Clearance and Working with Children Clearance prior to commencing duties (all at the Council’s expense).
