Regional Manager - Fleet Services

Darwin NT, Australia Full Time

Regional Manager – Fleet Services: Provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of East Arnhem Regional Council’s fleet services, ensuring the effective, safe, compliant, and cost-efficient management of fleet assets to support the delivery of Council services across the region.


What you’ll do:

  • Develop, implement and improve policies and procedures to ensure sustainable, compliant and safe portfolio management.
  • Implement and maintain the 10‑year Plant Replacement Program for efficient fleet management.
  • Plan, direct and manage maintenance and repair of Council’s fleet assets.
  • Prepare budgets and monitor income, expenditure and cash flow across the portfolio.
  • Use innovative approaches to address business and infrastructure gaps.
  • Oversee fleet infrastructure including contracts, purchasing, maintenance and disposals.
  • Assess staff performance regularly and provide appropriate support and training.
  • Comply with WHS policies, procedures and legislation to maintain a safe workplace.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the General Manager – Technical and Infrastructure Services.

What we’re looking for:

  • Tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience in a related discipline (i.e. business administration, asset management, or mechanical trade).
  • Demonstrated experience in business management, including budgeting, cash flow, inventory control, procurement, supply chain coordination and scheduling.
  • Thorough knowledge of technical specifications and operational requirements for passenger vehicles, heavy vehicles, trailers and mobile plant.
  • Current C Class Driver License, with the ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.


What you’ll receive:

  • A competitive salary ($114,868.23 - $121,863.59 per year, excluding super), with annual reviews under the Enterprise Agreement
