  • Located in the fast growing Wollondilly LGA
  • Permanent Part-Time, 14 hours per week
  • Salary from $119,073 per annum (pro-rata) + 12% Superannuation

About the opportunity:

It's an exciting time for Wollondilly with major town centres being planned and built. A rare opportunity has arisen for a Senior Strategic Planner to join the team on a permanent part time basis. The successful candidate will work within a high performing and collaborative team to communicate and promote relevant planning policies, facilitate environmental outcomes and support outcomes in line with relevant legislation, Delivery Program and the Local Strategic Planning Statement.

The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate their competency in the following essential criteria:

  • Degree qualification in Town planning or related field.
  • Minimum three (3) years relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in assessment of land capability having regard to legislation; developing planning policies including development control plans, internal procedures, protocols and local environmental plans; knowledge of legislative process applicable to Local Government relating to strategic land use planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in written and oral forms, including the preparation of written studies, plans and strategies to a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to efficiently assess, negotiate, problem solve and complete complex planning for proposals and other strategic planning processes.
  • Current NSW Class C Driver’s Licence.
