Burke Shire Council is seeking an experienced DRFA Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements projects and selected capital works. Based in Burketown, this contract role will oversee project delivery from planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with DRFA funding requirements and Council objectives.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience managing DRFA, civil infrastructure or capital works projects, ideally within a local government environment.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, risk management, reporting and delivery of works on time and within budget.
- Experience in contract management, tender preparation, contractor management, and construction quality assurance.
- Sound knowledge of civil construction practices, engineering standards and local government legislation and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with Council staff, contractors, consultants, funding bodies, and the community.
- Well-developed organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, together with proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety, environmental compliance and quality assurance in construction and field operations.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline are highly desirable.

- $120,000 - $135,000 base salary.
