Administrative Officer

Shoalhaven, NSW, Australia Full Time

Temporary / Part Time / 12 month contract

• Salary: $26,710 - $30,021 gross p.a. plus 12% Super (pro rata)

• 14 hours per week (2 days per week)

• Located at Nowra Administration Building, Bridge Road, Nowra

About the Role

Provide high-level administrative support to the Environmental Health Unit and assist

with broader administrative functions across the City Development Directorate,

including providing backup support during leave and operational requirements. The

main duties of this role includes:

• Provide high level administrative support to the professional staff in the

Environmental Health Unit.

• Assist other administrative employees within City Development Directorate as

required and provide backup during times of leave or other operational

requirements.

• Provide first point of contact for the Environmental Health Unit, action queries

where possible or promptly refer to the appropriate persons to facilitate effective

communication.

• Use Council's authorised recordkeeping system(s) to create, receive and capture

corporate records relevant to the responsibilities of the position in accordance

with Council's Records Management Policy.

• Research and analyse information under the direction of Managers/Professional

staff, to provide accurate and timely information for decision making and

responding to specific enquiries

To be successful in the position, you will have:

• Certificate III in Office Administration (or equivalent) or equivalent related

experience

• Proof of right to work in Australia

• Demonstrated ability to handle difficult and confidential matters in an

appropriate manner

• Demonstrated experience and competence in the use of Windows based

computer programs and word processing packages
