The part you will play
As part of the Aboriginal Communities team you will work closely with the internal stakeholders/Community. Working on:
- Developing, implementing and advising on strategies relating to Aboriginal affairs and reconciliation.
- Internal cultural support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees, and assisting all other employees to improve their understanding of how to create a culturally safe and welcoming environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and families.
- Implementation of the Aboriginal Action Plan.
- Support Council to create employment pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community
- Supporting the Whittlesea Reconciliation Advisory Group
