We're seeking an experienced and forward-thinking leader to join our organisation as Manager Strategic Planning & Prosperity. This is a unique opportunity to influence the long-term growth, liveability and prosperity of our rural community by leading strategic planning, economic development and place-based initiatives.

Reporting to the Director Community Prosperity, you will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering strategic planning outcomes that support sustainable growth, attract investment and enhance the quality of life for our community. You'll work collaboratively with executive leaders, government agencies, developers, businesses and community stakeholders to deliver innovative, practical and future-focused solutions.

To succeed in this role, you'll bring a minimum of five years' management experience, ideally within local government, together with tertiary qualifications in strategic planning, town planning, urban planning, community planning or a related discipline. You'll have demonstrated experience in strategic or community planning and a strong understanding of the importance of economic development in supporting prosperous rural and regional communities.

We're looking for a strategic leader who can build strong relationships, navigate complex issues and inspire a high-performing team to achieve outstanding outcomes.

Experience in renewable energy projects, Victoria's energy transition, community consultation and engagement, facilitation, mediation, or economic development will be highly regarded.
