Leader Project Management - 18 Month Contract
Location: Tamworth, NSW
THE OPPORTUNITY
- Work with the broader business units and divisions to determine and clarify business needs and problems.
- Lead the development and delivery of technology projects from creation to completion managing to the defined schedule, scope and budget of the project.
- Ensure all projects align with Council's standard project management framework, maintaining the necessary documentation, keeping registers current, and providing the necessary reporting according to defined timeframes.

Council is seeking a motivated Project Manager to grow their skills and experience in a supportive IT environment. This role requires a person with the experience and skill to translate business requirements into project plans, communicate effectively with technology teams, and thrive under pressure
The Leader Project Management is responsible for:
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of technology projects, ensuring effective planning, coordination and execution from initiation to completion, delivering on time, within scope and budget.
- Developing and maintaining project documentation, tracking progress, risk management and aligning technical outcomeswith business objectives.
- Coordinating internal and external resources across the portfolio of projects and for individual projects being managed to ensure that they adhere to scope, schedule and budget, including the monitoring of resources to ensure that assignment is able to maintain project efficiency and maximise deliverable outcomes.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED
- Degree or formal qualifications in Information Technology, Business Management, Project Management, Change Management or similar or equivalent relevant experience
- NSW Drivers Licence

Salary range: Grade 16 - $97,260.86 - $105,238.96 per annum plus 12% superannuation for a 35 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.
Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
