Project Manager
About the position:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join the City’s Project Delivery
team. Responsible for providing technical expertise and effective management of the delivery of the
City’s capital works program through a combination of wet hire and contract services. This position
will ensure that all projects are delivered according to design, completed within the agreed scope and
in accordance with relevant legislation and City policies.
The City is looking to fill one permanent and two fixed-term full-time Project Manager roles. The fixed-
term roles are offered as 12- and 24-month contracts.
Key accountabilities:
• Lead the delivery of allocated capital works projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from
project initiation through to completion and asset handover, ensuring achievement of scope,
budget, programme, quality and funding objectives.
• Develop and manage project scopes, designs, specifications, delivery strategies and
procurement plans to ensure effective and efficient project outcomes aligned with the City's
Project Delivery Framework.
• Manage project budgets, contracts and funding allocations by monitoring expenditure,
assessing contractor claims, controlling variations and ensuring value-for-money outcomes
throughout project delivery.
• Coordinate the procurement, appointment and management of consultants, contractors and
service providers, ensuring compliance with procurement requirements and effective contract
performance.
• Ensure projects comply with relevant legislation, regulations, Australian Standards, funding
requirements and City policies while proactively managing project risks, safety obligations and
governance requirements.

Position requirements:
The successful applicant will possess extensive experience in project management, delivery of
infrastructure and civil engineering construction and building projects, ideally holding a relevant
qualification supporting their experience. In addition, demonstrated skills in building and maintaining
relationships with key stakeholders is also an essential requirement of this position.
Applicants who have comprehensive knowledge, skills and extensive experience in a similar role but
do not have formal qualifications are encouraged to apply.Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances te7sting is required
of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits:
A salary range between $126,622 - $135,470 per annum will be offered dependent on knowledge,
skills, experience and qualifications of the successful candidate as it relates to the requirements of the
position.

and procedures into project activities to promote and maintain a safe working
environment.
Demonstrated ability to foster and maintain partnerships and networks with internal
and external stakeholders to successfully deliver community infrastructure.
