About the role
Are you an experienced civil designer with strong drainage design skills and advanced 12d Model capability? We are looking for a Senior Designer to help deliver stormwater, drainage and civil infrastructure projects across the Gold Coast. This is a hands-on role where you will take designs from concept through to construction documentation, solve complex design issues and help shape practical, buildable outcomes.
Responsibilites include:
- Prepare stormwater, drainage and associated civil designs.
- Develop 12d models, drawings, quantities and construction documentation.
- Coordinate designs with engineers, project teams and other disciplines.
- Resolve design issues throughout project delivery.
- Review design documentation and support quality assurance.
- Guide junior designers and drafters.
- Liaise with stakeholders, consultants and contractors.
- Ensure designs meet relevant standards, specifications and Council requirements.
- Help improve design processes and documentation.

We’re looking for people who have:
- An Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- A current Class C Driver Licence.
- Strong civil design experience, with demonstrated expertise in stormwater and drainage.
- Advanced experience using 12d Model.
- Experience delivering designs from concept through to construction documentation.
- Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and local government requirements.
- Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A practical approach to delivering high-quality, constructible designs.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D or GIS will be highly regarded.
