Corporate Planning Officer

Compensation: $89,235 to $101,630 Annually
plus 15.25% super

Contribute to building and enhancing Council's corporate planning, performance reporting and service management activities as part of our newly created Corporate Planning and Performance Team. As our Corporate Planning Officer, you will support the Team Leader and Corporate Planners across annual planning cycles, routine reporting, workshop coordination and document preparation, keeping accurate planning information flowing for the organisation and our community.

The team leads Council's Integrated Planning and Reporting framework, including the Strategic Plan, Service Management Plan, Four Year Delivery Plan, Annual Plan and End of Term Report. It is varied, detail focused work that connects Council's strategic priorities with what we deliver for the community every day.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Coordinate the annual review of the Four Year Delivery Plan and Annual Plan, including workshops, agendas, minutes and feedback
  • Prepare routine reports and collate accurate information for planning and performance reporting
  • Maintain corporate planning content across internal channels and Council's website, keeping documents current, accessible and brand aligned
  • Support service management reviews and continuous improvement initiatives, including workshop scheduling, logistics and document management
  • Work with teams across Council, including the Project Management Office, Governance and Communications, to support integrated planning and reporting

About You

We are looking for someone who demonstrates, through behaviour, an alignment and an understanding of Our Values and has the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business administration or equivalent, and/or a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience
  • Accuracy and analysis: you understand priorities and context, produce accurate work and check details carefully
  • Continuous improvement: you identify practical improvements to planning, reporting and service management, and use feedback and data to improve processes
  • Communication and collaboration: you communicate clearly in writing, meetings and workshops, and build constructive relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong digital and reporting skills, with experience using corporate systems, MS Office and/or performance software such as TechnologyOne or Power BI
