Reporting to the Director Community, this is a pivotal leadership role responsible for leading Council's Community Development portfolio and delivering programs and services that enhance community wellbeing, inclusion and quality of life. As Manager Community Development, you will lead a multidisciplinary team and provide strategic direction across community services, community capacity building, community facilities and social planning to ensure Council continues to meet the evolving needs of its diverse community.
You will lead community planning, service development and the delivery of initiatives that respond to emerging community needs and demographic trends. Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Councillors and key stakeholders, you will oversee Council's community facilities portfolio, build strategic partnerships and secure opportunities that enhance community wellbeing and participation.
To be considered, you will hold relevant tertiary qualifications and bring demonstrated leadership experience in community development, social planning or a related field, ideally within local government. You will have proven expertise in community planning, stakeholder engagement and leading multidisciplinary teams, supported by strong analytical, financial and strategic leadership skills.
