Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Executive Director Corporate & Community Experience will provide strategic leadership across a diverse portfolio including People and Culture, Customer Experience, Information Technology, Community Services, Libraries and Museum, Communications, Community Engagement, Events and Placemaking.
This pivotal executive role will lead the delivery of modern business services and digital transformation initiatives that strengthen organisational capability, enhance customer and community experiences, and support the delivery of Council's long term strategic objectives. Working collaboratively across the organisation and with elected Councillors, government agencies and community stakeholders, you will champion innovation, organisational culture, workforce capability and service excellence while ensuring sound governance, financial sustainability and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will be an accomplished executive leader with extensive experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams within a complex organisation. You will demonstrate a proven ability to drive transformational change, deliver strategic projects and organisational reform, and balance commercial, political and community priorities. Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and leadership skills, together with experience operating at executive level, are essential. Relevant tertiary qualifications are required, with postgraduate qualifications and local government or public sector experience highly regarded.
