About the Role

As a Project Manager, you will lead the full lifecycle of Council’s critical infrastructure and building upgrade projects, from initial planning and design through to procurement, construction and final handover.

Aligning your work with Council’s Asset Management Strategy, you will champion a proactive, sustainable approach to long-term infrastructure health. You will provide high-level engineering expertise, oversee contractors to ensure projects meet strict safety, budget and quality standards, and deliver exceptional customer service through proactive stakeholder engagement.

This role includes participation in natural disaster emergency responses and an after-hours on-call roster.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring tertiary qualifications in an infrastructure related field with relevant skills and experience or significant practical project management experience within the civil construction or building sectors. Your technical expertise includes a strong ability to interpret drawings, apply Australian Standards and directly manage or supervise contracts. A proven problem solver, you possess the sound judgement needed to resolve complex issues and keep programs on track. Additionally, you are a strong communicator who can engage diverse stakeholders to deliver excellent customer service, write comprehensive technical and financial reports and apply sound asset management principles.
