Neighbourhoods for Nations (NfN) Project Manager
Temporary Full-Time Funded position until July 2027
We are looking for a passionate and driven Project Manager to lead the Neighbourhoods for Nations (NfN) initiative, a program focused on improving health equity for Culturally and Racially Marginalised (CARM) communities.
This is a unique opportunity to work with communities in Robinvale and Swan Hill to support more inclusive, healthy neighbourhoods through collaboration, co-design and systems change.
A little more about the role
You will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of this VicHealth-funded initiative, working with Council, community and partner organisations. You will support strong collaboration and ensure the project delivers meaningful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver all NfN project activities.
- Support and coordinate a coalition of partners.
- Facilitate community engagement and co-design processes.
- Establish and support CARM Advisory Groups (CAGs).
- Promote inclusive decision-making and participatory budgeting.
- Build strong relationships across community, government and partners.
- Manage project budget, risks, reporting and compliance.
- Support embedding health equity and inclusion across Council.
What you will bring
- Relevant qualification in public health, community development, social sciences, project management or similar (or equivalent experience).
- Experience delivering community-based projects.
- Strong ability to work with diverse communities, ideally CARM communities.
- Understanding of health equity, co-design or community engagement.
- Experience in working in local government and policy development.
- Strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Well-developed networks and understanding of social systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Valid Working with Children Check (employee type).
- A Police Check will be conducted on the successful candidate.
What’s on offer
- Temporary full-time funded role until July 2027 (with possible extension).
- Approx. $100,123 per annum + 15% superannuation.
