Neighbourhoods for Nations (NfN) Project Manager

Temporary Full-Time Funded position until July 2027

We are looking for a passionate and driven Project Manager to lead the Neighbourhoods for Nations (NfN) initiative, a program focused on improving health equity for Culturally and Racially Marginalised (CARM) communities.

This is a unique opportunity to work with communities in Robinvale and Swan Hill to support more inclusive, healthy neighbourhoods through collaboration, co-design and systems change.

A little more about the role

You will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of this VicHealth-funded initiative, working with Council, community and partner organisations. You will support strong collaboration and ensure the project delivers meaningful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver all NfN project activities.
  • Support and coordinate a coalition of partners.
  • Facilitate community engagement and co-design processes.
  • Establish and support CARM Advisory Groups (CAGs).
  • Promote inclusive decision-making and participatory budgeting.
  • Build strong relationships across community, government and partners.
  • Manage project budget, risks, reporting and compliance.
  • Support embedding health equity and inclusion across Council.

What you will bring

  • Relevant qualification in public health, community development, social sciences, project management or similar (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience delivering community-based projects.
  • Strong ability to work with diverse communities, ideally CARM communities.
  • Understanding of health equity, co-design or community engagement.
  • Experience in working in local government and policy development.
  • Strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Well-developed networks and understanding of social systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Valid Working with Children Check (employee type).
  • A Police Check will be conducted on the successful candidate.

What’s on offer

  • Temporary full-time funded role until July 2027 (with possible extension).
  • Approx. $100,123 per annum + 15% superannuation.
