Salary range between $92,937 - $105,557 p.a. (inclusive of a $12k cost of living allowance)

About the Position

The Town Maintenance Officer position will suit an individual with strong plant operation experience, a safety‑first mindset and pride in delivering high‑quality maintenance outcomes for the community.

The position is responsible for the maintenance, presentation and upkeep of Shire assets, including:

  • Parks, gardens, ovals and public open spaces
  • Road reserves and town infrastructure
  • Operation and care of plant and equipment
  • Slashing, mowing (including oval mowing), and general grounds maintenance
  • Supporting waste services and other operational activities as required
  • Occasional travel to other Shire towns.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have experience maintaining parks, gardens and community facilities, along with the ability to work safely and efficiently in an operational environment.
Experience and Tickets will include:

  • Minimum C Class Driver's License (HR/MR Licence preferred)
  • White Card
  • Experience using small plant operations such as mowers, brush cutters, chainsaws
  • Good communication skills and a team focused attitude
  • A reliable, proactive and solutions focused approach
  • Basic Traffic Management knowledge and tickets (advantageous)
  • Relevant tickets highly regarded (skid steer, loader, backhoe, excavator)
