Online Communications Officer

The Package: $89,167 - $98,527.52 gross per annum + 12% super. (Evaluated as Grade 12 of the QPRC Salary System 2026).

Full-time – 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements will be considered.

Are you an expert in crafting well-written, engaging online content that captures attention and is easily understood? In this role, you’ll use exceptional writing skills to create easy-to-understand, impactful digital content for our websites, social media, and other online platforms.

In this role you will:

Coordinate day-to-day web communications, maintain Council’s website and intranet, and ensure all digital content is accurate, up-to-date, and written with clarity.

Oversee online consultation through Council’s ‘Your Voice’ page, design user-friendly eForms to capture essential data, and support production of digital media.

Liaise with internal stakeholders to adapt communications for diverse audiences, work alongside the Digital team to ensure back-end systems run smoothly and provide excellent customer service.

We are looking for someone who:

Holds relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience in web development or communication.

Has high-level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly, write for the web, and provide outstanding customer service across phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.

Has demonstrated the ability to operate web content management systems

Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator) to create digital graphics and communications material is highly regarded.
