Salary range: $112,733.66 - $131,014.78 + 12% Superannuation per annum

What you'll do

As our Infrastructure and Growth Planner, you'll be responsible for managing a range of major and complex strategic land use and planning policy projects and tasks, including the development, implementation and monitoring of Council’s development contributions programs, planning for adequate infrastructure provision for the Shire and broader reviews of the strategic planning framework, providing timely and effective planning information and inclusive community consultation activities.

You'll be responsible for ensuring that policies and strategies provide for the development and maintenance of a high quality natural and built environment which values heritage, liveable communities and sustainable transport.

What you'll need to succeed (Essential Criteria)

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, Geography, Business or Law and/or equivalent.
  2. Comprehensive working knowledge of the NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act as it relates to development contributions and community infrastructure provision, and demonstrated ability to prepareDevelopment Contributions plans and supporting documentation in accordance with all statutory requirements andcurrent best practice.
  3. Experience in a similar role working within a multidisciplinary team of technical professionals on a range of projects.
  4. Demonstrated project management skills that facilitate the development, implementation and continual monitoring of strategic projects, programs and initiatives.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to critically analyse issues and develop and implement appropriate solutions.
  6. Demonstrated well developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external, and to negotiate outcomes and resolve conflict.
  7. Current Drivers Licence (Class C)
