ABOUT THE ROLE

Position

We are looking for an energetic and suitably skilled individual to join our Trades and Services team to help us continue to provide a high level of service to our community.

In this hands-on role, you’ll be part of a skilled and supportive team delivering a wide range of construction, maintenance and inspection works across Council-owned buildings and facilities. Your work will play a vital role in ensuring our infrastructure remains safe, functional and well-presented for the community.

You will contribute to the upkeep and improvement of a diverse portfolio including council offices, community halls, parks, public amenities, cultural centres, libraries, swimming pools and surf life saving facilities.

To be successful you will bring

  • Behaviour that positively demonstrates Council’s values of: creative, accessible, respect, energetic and safe.
  • Class MR driver licence, with a good and safe driving record.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing a range of general labouring and maintenance duties in the building industry.
  • Work Safely in the Construction Industry Induction ticket (white card).
  • Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience and ability to work at heights.
  • Ability and willingness to work on call in accordance with roster requirements.

  • An annual salary range of $59,300 to $68,000 (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills and experience.
